DHAMMANAND is located in Markal
village, 30 km. from Pune railway station and 25 km from the airport.
It can be reached by public bus in about one hours time. There are two routes of approach-one via Alandi village (a famous holy pilgrim spot, where devotees of the saint Dnyaneshwar visit) and the other via Nagar road (highway to Ahmednagar) The public bus (PMT- Pune Municipal Transport) that goes directly to Markal is bus number 257. |

| Departure times from Pune · 5.30
am, 8.10 am, 11.30pm, 2.10 pm.,5.30 p.m. **** 2.10 bus is the most suitable to reach center in time. Departure times from Markal to Pune · 6.30 am, 9.30 am, 12.30 pm & 3.20 pm. Every 15 minutes there are buses leaving from the corporation & railway station bus stands for Alandi, costing about Rs 15/-. From Alandi jeep taxis are easily available to reach Markal (9 km away), costing Rs 5 to15/- per person. The Vipassana centre is a one kilometer walk from the bus/jeep stop at Markal. |

| All course students must reach the Vipassana
centre by 4.00 pm latest on the day the course commences. In case you get to Pune a day earlier do not get to the Pune Vipassana centre on your own. There are no facilities for non-meditators or female meditators to stay at the centre between the courses. Put up in some lodge or hotel near the railway or bus stations. Give a call to any of the following local meditators. Dr Hamir or Dr Mrs Nirmala Ganla +91-020-26633746 They will guide you in case of any problem. |
